About Santa Ponsa

Santa Ponsa is perhaps most famous for being the location where Jaume I landed in 1229 before beginning his conquest of Mallorca, with the spot he came ashore marked with a large stone cross to commemorate the occasion. Not only has the town grown in popularity as a holiday destination for tourists, but a surprising number of expats have also come and made their homes in the area, giving it a unique culture and atmosphere.

The summer season is the best time to visit Santa Ponsa if you’re looking for warm weather, with high temperatures between June and August with very few chances of rain. If you prefer milder weather, then the spring or the start of autumn will be ideal, whilst those who want to experience the town with as few other tourists as possible should travel between November and March to enjoy the off-season.

The top way to spend your time in Santa Ponsa is with a trip to the beach, where you can enjoy sunbathing, swimming in the sea, dining at one of the cafes along the promenade, or enjoy giving watersports like paddleboarding and kayaking a go. Fantastic home for a fantastic stay. We loved our time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing time away. Top tips from us - don’t stress about parking, the roads are very narrow and parking isn’t easy so use the car park on the way in to Pollensa. It’s only a 5 minute walk and is very safe. There is a lovely bakery just 2 minute walk away on the main road in and not far from the chemist. Enjoy!

Charming and lovely townhouse in the old part of Pollenca. Recently refurbished to a very high standard. House is really well equipped. ACs in all the rooms meant it was never too hot even in the August. High walls give a lot of privacy and also make the sun more bearable. Pool was lovely. We quickly got used to parking in the side streets around the house, but it is also possible to park slightly outside the town. We used a car to go Puerto Pollenca to get to the fantastic beaches. Their Internet was good enough for video calls for work Communication with the manager was easy and quick. Would clearly recommend and also go back.

We had a great stay and the communication with Colin was brilliant. The villa is very clean and spacious and the beds are comfortable. The pool area is fantastic and the steps in are great for children. The pool was also really warm considering it’s not heated and the view of the mountains is fantastic. Lovely quiet area but a 25 min walk into the square in Pollenca and 5 min drive to the Port. Lovely area and lots of great restaurants and beaches nearby. We were a family of 8 (7 adults and one child) and would definitely like to return :)
